July 4th, 2024 Boat Parade
2020 4th of July Boat Parade
After consideration, the Ida Lake Association Board of Directors met on June 27th and determined that the annual 4th of July Boat Parade should be held! The weather was better than in years past, and it seemed that people were happy to have an event that allowed for outdoors fun and social distancing on the lake!
Jim Conn led the parade around the south end of the lake in his vintage Chris Craft. Everybody on Lake Ida was in a cheerful celebratory frame of mind as the parade cruised around the south end of Lake Ida. After the 45 minute tour, the lead boat doubled back and counted 81 decorated boats and pontoons, about double the turnout in a regular year!

The 2019 Annual 4th of July boat parade was a success! There were 35 boats in the parade as it moved through the north end of the lake (Big Horn Bay) led by Jim Conn's classic Chris-Craft. Those watching from their docks thoroughly enjoyed the decorative display of patriotism! Please send in your photos to be included in the slide show!

The Ida Lake Association has adopted a 3-mile stretch of County Road 34 that runs along Lake Ida. Twice a year we clean up the ditch along the road as a community service project. This spring a group of Lake Ida property owners met on Saturday, May 20, 2023, to clean the ditch. Many hands made for fast work. Thank you to the crew of great helpers that came out this spring! We look forward to seeing more of you in the fall of 2023 when we work together again to keep our lake beautiful!
