About Us
The Ida Lake Association (ILA) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Dues and donations may be tax deductible per IRS Publication 526. ILA is a member of the Douglas County Lakes Association. ILA is comprised of 18 districts, consisting of two District Directors for each district, representing and serving the 760 property owners of Lake Ida.
ILA has a vested interest in helping keep our lake clean and healthy. It is important as a resident of Lake Ida that you are a financial supporter of the ILA. The funds gathered by membership fees help to pay for efforts such as water quality improvement, invasive aquatic species control, and fish stocking.
ILA has two general membership meetings for all lake property owners, generally the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and the last Saturday of August. Property owners who have paid their annual dues are voting members at these meetings; however any lake property owner is welcome to attend. General membership meetings also include guest speakers from various organizations who educate property owners on various lake issues or services.
In addition, the District Directors meet every month on the 4th Saturday of the month from April through September. The Executive Committee meets on an ad hoc basis, as needed.
