At the heart of our lake association is a dedicated commitment to preserving and enhancing the water quality of our shared resource. We believe that a healthy lake is a key foundation of our community's well-being, and through collaborative stewardship, we actively work to protect our waters from invasive threats, monitor ecosystem health, and implement sustainable management practices. By uniting as neighbors and lake enthusiasts, we ensure that our waters remain a vibrant, clean, and thriving resource for generations to come, and we invite you to join us in the vital work of protecting this precious natural legacy.
ILA works diligently to prevent the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) in Lake Ida. To that end, we have two District Directors who have received training on identifying AIS to help property owners identify AIS issues in Lake Ida. We have a three-member standing committee that develops an annual CLP treatment plan and budget to reduce the spread of Curly Leaf Pondweed (CLP) in the lake.
